Our Experience - Angry Orchard
Angry Orchard may be one of the most recognizable names in American hard cider, but visiting its 60-acre Hudson Valley orchard gives you a completely different appreciation for what's behind the bottle. This isn't simply a production facility — it's an orchard, cider house, and destination where you can learn about cider making while enjoying the finished product right where much of the experimentation happens.
You don't necessarily need to take a tour to enjoy Angry Orchard. The Cider House makes a fun stop on its own, where you can grab a cider, enjoy some light bites, and spend some time relaxing on the property. It's also a great opportunity to branch beyond the Angry Orchard varieties you're accustomed to seeing at stores and bars.
We've also taken a guided tour, which added another layer to the experience by teaching us more about the cider-making process and the orchard itself. The real finale, though, was ending our tour with a guided tasting inside the treehouse. Yes — a cider tasting in a treehouse overlooking an apple orchard. That's a pretty difficult setting to beat.
Whether you drop by for a cider or go deeper with a tour and tasting, Angry Orchard is an easy recommendation for cider fans exploring the Hudson Valley. It's familiar enough that you'll probably recognize the name before you arrive, but the orchard experience shows you there's much more to Angry Orchard than the bottles you've seen back home.
