😇 Popadee vs. Asher 😈
Lia's younger walking buddy, Popadee, was a complete angel. My buddy Asher had...some stronger opinions about how our walk should proceed.
❤️ An Adorable Montana Experience
From feeding the herd to walking the alpacas, this was such a unique, interactive, and ridiculously adorable addition to our Montana trip.
Our Experience - Alpaca & Llama Farm Tour
Of all the experiences we had in Montana, Alpacas of Montana was unquestionably the most adorable. This wasn't simply an opportunity to look at alpacas from the other side of a fence. We were able to get right into the experience, interacting with the animals, hand-feeding the herd, and even getting the opportunity to hold a baby alpaca.
Feeding time was especially entertaining because these alpacas were ready to eat. Once the food came out, we suddenly had plenty of new best friends eager for their share. Being able to interact with them up close was incredibly fun and also gave us the chance to see just how different their individual personalities can be.
We discovered that lesson even more clearly when it was time for our alpaca walk. Lia was paired with Popadee, a younger boy who was a complete angel. Jon got Asher. Asher and Jon had...different ideas about how this walk was going to work. He was stubborn, occasionally a complete pain in the butt, and unquestionably full of personality—which, naturally, also made him incredibly memorable.
That's really what made the experience so much fun. These weren't interchangeable animals following everyone around in a perfectly organized line. Each alpaca had its own personality, and interacting with them made the experience feel genuinely personal. Even Asher and Jon eventually managed to negotiate the terms of their partnership.
If you're looking for something completely different to add to a Montana trip, we absolutely loved Alpacas of Montana. Holding a baby alpaca, feeding an extremely enthusiastic herd, and heading out for a walk with Popadee and my lovable nemesis Asher made this one of the most unique—and easily cutest—experiences of our trip.
